Legacy Adults Word Study (Session 2)
In this NEW Legacy Word Study, Christ Who Heals, we will explore together the Biblical foundation of Jesus as our Healer. He is not only our Savior, Redeemer, Friend, Justifier, and Prince of Peace, He is also our Healer. God revealed His nature in Exodus 15:26 “I am the Lord who Heals You” and He cannot change His Nature, Hebrews 13:8 repeats this truth “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
We will delve into Scripture to understand this truth and dispel the misconception that miracles ceased with the first century.
Healing is NOT just a symbol or a coincidence or a one-time occurrence, it is a part of the complete, finished atoning work of Christ.
There is no record in the New Testament of Jesus ever turning away someone who came to Him for healing. The pattern of His ministry confirms that physical healing is part of the gospel.
Our Full Inheritance as Believers in Christ (the Gospel)
When we come to Jesus, we receive:
• Forgiveness of sins
• Grace-unmerited favor
• Justification-being made right with God
• Eternal life
• Restoration
• Relationship with the Father
• The Holy Spirit
• Provision and care
• Righteousness
• Authority as children of God
• Healing, physical, emotional, and spiritual
This is our inheritance. ALL OF IT!
